New York
Law Offices
The extremely elegant waiting room of a major law firm in Manhattan. A project conceived to welcome and put clients and staff at ease, while also conveying, from the very first impression, a sense of the utmost professionalism and expertise.
The main feature of the large hall is a highly distinctive fireplace that divides the two living areas, furnished with sophisticated and comfortable upholstered pieces. The floor is in marble, embellished with soft silk rugs. The boiserie is equally modern and sophisticated, with wood-veneer panels alternating with lacquered panels. The boiserie-clad walls are visually lightened by the brightness of chrome-plated metal elements.
The ceilings are characterised by the use of large burnished mirrors. The aim was to alternate glossy and chrome-finished surfaces, in both ceilings and floors, in an evocative interplay of light and shadow, of calm and dynamism. The same interplay of gloss and matte finishes recurs in the spacious meeting room, with a wall featuring open-vein marble work and a textured, three-dimensional wall covering. The whole scheme plays on the many shades of grey, enlivened by small touches of colour, always very discreet and elegant.
