The immediate sensation is that of entering an eighteenth-century French palace, to be lived in and admired in every corner and every detail. A large double-height hall welcomes and hosts guests with both purity and warmth, thanks to the refined white lacquered boiserie, enriched with green fabric inserts and elegant gilded details. The pristine white vaulted ceiling, decorated and characterised by elaborate sculptural elements, is a visually striking feature.

The large crystal chandelier is imposing and dramatic. A corner deliberately designed to be more intimate and private is furnished with armchairs and a wall-mounted TV, while the opening onto the upper floor is characterised by a brass and wrought-iron balustrade covered in gold leaf, with floral decorations.

Brass, wrought iron and floral decorations also appear in the balustrade accompanying the sinuous staircase leading to the basement level, where the tones of white and gold play with the vivid colours of the inlaid marbles and the blue that characterises the billiard table top and the light fixtures that illuminate it.

The shade of blue is also the leitmotif that recurs in the furnishings and accessories of the small sitting rooms connected to the bedrooms, separated by partition walls made with white boiserie enriched with friezes and decorations, designed to the client’s specific request.

Also at the client’s request, the decoration reproducing a series of human figures, inspired by a marble bas-relief from a historic villa on Lake Como, in Italy, characterises the boiserie-bookcase of the study, where the precious inlay of different wood species in the flooring can also be admired. Finally, inlaid marbles and decorative doors characterise the bright corridors of the residence.
