Antigua
Spa
It feels like immersing oneself in crystal-clear water evoking a thousand shades and impressions of the sea. It is a precious sea that has been recreated in the spa area of this private residence built in Antigua, one of the jewels of the Caribbean sea, surrounded by coral reefs and fringed by dazzling white beaches and beautiful coves.
The floors are in Brazilian marble, an exceptionally precious blue marble known for its incredible range of colours from light blue to violet, whose veining is deliberately reminiscent of sea waves. The marble flooring is further enriched by elaborate mosaics, each time giving rise to different patterns.
A marine design characterises the bottom of the pool, while a decoration of corals and shells frames the pool itself. Another mosaic on the ceiling takes up the motif of seaweed and marine floral plants.
The same nods to the colours of the sea are also found in the crafted art-glass panels, entirely rendered in white and blue, and in the wall decorations, where fascinating sea creatures seem to appear amid the fluid movement of waves recreated with mosaics of varying intensities of blue.
Completing the project is a large circular Jacuzzi tub, also mosaic-clad, and a bar set within the pool water. The dolphin-shaped statues, which also seem to be protagonists of this luxurious aquarium to be experienced, shared and admired, are in fact truly original light fixtures.
