Lugano

An airy and bright private residence overlooking Lake Lugano. Elegant, sophisticated, rational and almost essential in the tones that define it, the residence appears at first sight to be a place of refuge in which to enjoy warmth and luxurious understatement. The wall coverings, with lacquered and richly decorated boiserie, are essentially white.

The marble floors are white, delicately veined with a few touches of colour from the geometric inlays, extremely elegant in their linearity. Glass plays a leading role, chosen both for the large windows that serve as a passage to the outside, overlooking the lake and the green Swiss mountains, and for inserts in some furnishing elements, to lend lightness and brightness.

The brightness of glass was also chosen for the walls of the panoramic lift and for the ceiling of the exquisitely refined winter garden, to create a deliberate blending of interior and exterior. The indoor pool, with a mosaic bottom and interior walls, is lit by large windows and surrounded by massive columns of dark marble.
