The immediate impression is of stepping into an eighteenth-century French palace, to be lived in and admired in every corner and every detail. A large double-height hall welcomes and embraces with both purity and warmth, thanks to refined white lacquered boiserie enriched with green fabric inserts and elegant gilded details. The pristine vaulted ceiling is visually striking, decorated and characterised by elaborate sculptural elements.

The large crystal chandelier is imposing and dramatic. A corner deliberately designed to be more intimate and private is furnished with armchairs and a wall-mounted TV, while the view from the upper floor is marked by a brass and wrought-iron balustrade finished in gold leaf, with floral decorations.

Brass, wrought iron and floral decorations also feature in the balustrade accompanying the sinuous staircase leading down to the basement level, where the tones of white and gold play against the vivid colours of the inlaid marble and the blue that characterises the billiard table top and the light fixtures illuminating it.

The tone of blue is also the leitmotif recurring in the furnishings and accessories of the small sitting rooms connected to the bedrooms, separated by partition walls made with white boiserie enriched with friezes and decorations, designed to the client’s specific request.

Again at the client’s request, the decoration reproducing a series of human figures, inspired by a marble bas-relief from a historic villa on Lake Como, Italy, characterises the boiserie-bookcase of the study, where the precious inlay of different wood essences in the flooring can also be admired. Inlaid marble and decorative doors, finally, characterise the bright corridors of the residence.
